9,134

Before we start, can you introduce yourself and tell us what is the name of your project?

I am Jake Greenbaum, J.D, and studied both Law and Finance. In the crypto space I am known as “The Crypto King.” A nickname given to me during the bull run of late 2017.

My project is ANONymous or “ANON. ” A privacy fork with masternodes of both ZCL and BTC.

The first thing we have to talk about is: What’s ANON for anyone who hasn’t heard about it?

ANON is a fork of ZCL or BTC that is taking place on September 10th. We have very exciting annoucncements prepared for all of August! At this point ANON has been trending fairly significantly in the crypto community and most have heard of the project. Those that are not yet involved in crypto are where the majority of people who have not heard of ANON are. But most of them do not hold BTC either.

Can you give a quick shot of what (PROJECT) team is focusing on?

Building the team and creating a set of deadlines came first, second came creating one of the most inspirational and collaborative communities in crypto, now the team is focused on exchanges as our listing announcements are approaching while also focusing on utility use cases for ANON and platforms for ANON to be used on.

Then becomes the long term plan which includes a token burn on January 1, 2019  of all unclaimed ANON. The roadmap beyond 2019 will be released very soon but partnerships will be announced prior to September that make ANON’s relevance very clear.

How and where you see (Project) in the future, in 1-5 years?

I see ANON as a top 10 cryptocurrency by market cap within 2 years. In 5 years I see ANON as a leading privacy coin that will continue forking to maintain ASIC resistance as the community’s desire (masternode voting!). I wish I could share the partnerships and listings at this point to help solidify that position.

Preparation and being proactive instead of reactive as a team is also extremely important. Often teams jump into projects without guidance or a plan. From the beginning until now I’ve had the entire project, dates, deadlines, etc. all predetermined. Of course random events do occur and you cannot control BTC going to $20,000 or to $5,000 but the majority of occurrences you can prepare for.

Being proactive instead of reactive is why ANON and any future project our team takes on will be a success.

There are so many projects going on this 2018 year. Who you see as your biggest competitor?

I don’t view other crypocurrencies as competitors. I believe we can all support each other and push for mainstream adoption among the community. Those that have the best teams, tech, and communities will be the cryptos that survive bull runs and bear raids. ANON already has the team, tech, and community.

How do you compare your coin? Why is special? What is the best feature of the project?

The best feature of our project at this point in all honesty is our community. Our team is impressive; we have 2 lead devs that manage a 10-man team of blockchain architects each with individual delineated tasks. We have legal support for when documents for exchanges demonstrating why ANON is not a security are needed. We have great community builders and leadership. However, what makes ANON truly great and different from prior forks (besides masternodes and the tech) is our community.

What are the biggest difficulties you already faced and which ones are coming?

FUD coming from private interest parties and BTC maximalists that had issues with the name “Anonymous Bitcoin.” However, our identity is so solidified in the crypto space in such a short period of time that we can easily pivot to ANONymous and ANON, as we intended including the name “Bitcoin” to be a sign of respect, not of parasitic behavior.

Leading up to the fork plenty of parties will want to enter the ZCL market at lower prices. However, our ANON admins are well prepared for any and all FUD.

Why are Privacy Coins so important?

The general public still thinks Bitcoin is anonymous. To make banking truly private but guarantee the safety of transactions the blockchain is required with a privacy coin. Masternodes are growing importance to earn a return while also partaking in voting and decision making. We figured ANON was a great solution.

When did you get involved with crypto?

When I was in college (2011) we used to play a significant amount of poker. I figured the games would be much safer if we traveled to and from with BTC instead of cash. Unfortunately, I did not become heavily involved until I completed my undergraduate degree in Finance and International Business and my graduate degree in Law. The summer of 2017 I started following the crypto markets very heavily and noticed the same errors occurring amongst many projects.

I knew eventually I wanted to lead my own project, it was just a matter of time.

How did you get so many connections in the industry?

It really isn’t much more than networking, conferences, being a transparent and honest person. People see through bullshit (sorry but they do). I thought crypto had too much scam and PnD and decided what can I do about it. First I started trading the major swings, then I started writing about what I was witnessing. From their I realized why projects were likely to fail and prepared one I thought would be full proof.

Why did you decide to fork from ZClassic even though it had such a bad reputation from the last fork?

Part of the reason was because I was burned, like many other investors, and had really high hopes for prior forks. I watched as what I as a finance and law major figured would be a simple task, the managing of a team, the leadership a project takes, networking, utility, partnerships, etc. be completely non-existent in some projects. I realized cryptocurrency projects like any successful project cannot be solely one ‘type’ of person. A team of developers would be ideal at first glance, but they do not understand how to navigate laws and regulations. Every successful team needs a melting pot of intelligent individuals from different backgrounds.

How do you think blockchain will change the world?

I think it already has. When you have the leaders of private banks commenting in fear of the current situation the “concept” is working. I think blockchain and crypto will continue to change the world in many ways. Primarily being as a means of exchange. In the near future I foresee the ability to walk in to coffee shops and internet cafes all over the world and be able to use crypto. When this takes place, cryptocurrency will be ‘mainstream’ and discussions of a bubble may be relevant. Blockchain I believe will change how authenticity is determined and guarantee everything from vaccines to the food we eat remain ‘healthy.’

In your own personal view what will make anonymous bitcoin better than all the forks or better than all the other privacy coins?

The community.

Our Twitter, Telegram channel and Discord have thousands of members (no bots, no paid followers, no purchased followers) and it is the least toxic environment of any crypto community I’ve ever been a part of. I couldn’t be more proud of the team we’ve built.

Forget exchange listings, forget utility, forget the team. Without a community a cryptocurrency is nothing. ANON’s community is 2nd to none.

As CEO, what’s your main job leading ANON? What do you do regularly? What’s the “crazy busy” part.

I don’t like the title CEO, not for a cryptocurrency. This is a major project of which I happen to be the “Founder” of. The crazy busy part is I literally never sleep. There are hundreds of community members that want to interact with you. The team needs to be given direction at different times. The socials require regular attention while maintaining a well-connected network of top crypto enthusiasts around the world.

The amount of work that goes in as the Founder is comparable to the work put in as the developer regarding number of hours, but the ‘type’ of work is 100% different. This is why it is so important to have a team made up of members with different skill sets. Each excels at what they do best while educating the other members on their weaker topics.

Where do you see ANON in 5 years?

I see ANON as a top 10 cryptocurrency by market cap within 2 years. In 5 years I see ANON as a leading privacy coin that will continue forking to maintain ASIC resistance as the community’s desire (masternode voting!). I wish I could share the partnerships and listings at this point to help solidify that position.

How did the team prepare for such a big announcement, launch, and community engagement? Especially with the fud around ZClassic?

Preparation and being proactive instead of reactive.

Finally If anyone wants to get involved in the coin community, what is the best way to do it?
