As part of the Amazon Partner Network (APN) they will provide software solutions that are either hosted on or integrated with the Amazon platform. By achieving the highest of the 3 performance tiers, ICONLOOP will be eligible for preferred access to business opportunities, and developers can run the ICON blockchain network through the AWS cloud.

Servicing the ICON Foundation

The CEO of ICONLOOP, Jonghyup Kim, has previously stated that his team were “…fully committed to contributing to the ICON project and servicing the ICON Foundation. We view every private network as a potential use case for the public ICON network and consider public chain integration in every private blockchain implementation of ICONLOOP.”

He now believes that the advanced status achieved with AWS “…indicates that ICONLOOP has been recognised for its professionalism and improved market competency in the blockchain industry.”

Looking forward, Kim states that the company will “…keep developing technology with AWS, simplifying the adoption of blockchain technology across many different fields.”

The partnership with AWS is the latest in a string of an union which has seen ICONLOOP forge ties with the likes of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Samsung and messaging service Line.

AWS themselves are the leading cloud services provider and is a larger entity on its own than the next four closest competitors combined – Microsoft, Google, Alibaba and IBM. The National Australia Bank along with the National Bank of Canada are just 2 of the prominent names featured among their client list.
